The students majoring in food science will seek for new possibilities of food products while researching functions of microorganism and actual condition of the cells. They will engage in basic as well as applied research for the food based on bioscience. Horticulture/food scientific research master's course specializing in horticulture (Miyakonojo)
The students will further learn more specialized knowledge.
The students will engage in research individually in the areas including the method of cultivating high quality agricultural crops while taking the environmental impact into consideration, and scenic blending of vegetation and human life. Other areas of research include the environmental issues attributed to the relationship of humans and nature. The sophisticated facilities and research equipments in the field center are accessible for the students. They will be able to acquire high-level expertise through the research projects in the 2 years.
